Cruising Code Sails
Reach further, sail easier. A Sanders cruising code sail sits neatly between your upwind headsail and downwind spinnaker, adding effortless power on reaching and broader angles. Designed for simple handling and tidy stowage, it furls like a genoa yet delivers the light-air drive and angle range that modern, non-overlapping rigs often miss.
What is it?
A free-flying reaching sail, typically used from approximately 60°–135° TWA in light to moderate breeze. It “fills the gap” between your jib/genoa and your kites, giving extra area and a stable flying shape when you want to make fast miles without hoisting a spinnaker.
How is it used?

Why do cruisers love it?
- Transforms light-air reaching and mixed courses
- Extends your usable angle range without the complexity of a kite
- Easy to handle: hoist once, furl on demand; ideal for shorthanded sailing
Cruising Code 0
