ATN Spinnaker Sleeves (Snuffers)
What are they?
A fabric sleeve with a rigid “mouth” that gathers or deploys your asymmetric or symmetric spinnaker in seconds making them a perfect companion in short-handed cruising.
Why they help
- Easy hoists/douses: hoist socked, raise the mouth, pull the control line to set; reverse to snuff.
- Calmer handling: less flogging = longer sail life.
- Safety: work from the foredeck with control, not chaos.
Setup and use (quick guide)
- Hoist the sail with the sleeve down.
- Bear away, ease halyard a touch, then pull the sleeve up to the head.
- Trim sheets; to douse, ease sheets and pull the sleeve down over the sail. We supply and service ATN sleeves and spares; we’ll size the snuffer to your luff length and girth.
The ATN Spinnaker Sleeve (Snuffer) features include:
- High-tech, canvas Hoop matches the shape of the spinnaker and will not warp under load
- Single control line led through a separate sleeve eliminates fouling
- Contrasting visual reference stripe
- Mesh construction allows the sail to breathe, so that sails dry quicker, even while stored

ATN Tacker
What it is?
A simple clamp/sleeve that holds the tack of your cruising chute to the rolled genoa, letting you fly an asymmetric from the bow without a bowsprit.
The tacker fits around the rolled up headsail retaining the tack of the sail and thus preventing it from flying to leeward. This increases the efficiency of the sail as well as preventing possible damage to the pulpit and navigation lights.
The patented ATN Tacker has been developed to control the tack of the cruising spinnaker (asymmetric) by fastening it over the furled headsail and it allows you to use your conventional (symmetric) spinnaker like an asymmetric spinnaker from beam reaching to broad reaching without the need for a spinnaker pole.
